Coffee varies by region, and also by elevation. Typically, the higher up you go, the harder the bean is, and the more flavorful it develops. See the picture with this posting.
For me, my favorite is Papua New Guinea coffee, because coffee from that region will have a fruitier taste, and the fruitiness will differ depending on which farm from which area has grown and processed the beans.
Also, the elevation above or below sea level counts, and the soil content will also change the complexity. This is also a semi-debatable field of study; it is obvious that the flavor changes, but we don't necessarily know how or why.
